Thermaltake v3 black edition mid tower case manual

The screws to hold the front panel are run through the prongs. I can see no engineering benefit to having the prongs there, and they get in the way if you're trying to put the screw back in. For an otherwise stellar case to have such a silly front panel mount confuses me.

The LED cords were mis-wired "positive" was negative and "negative" was positive. Thanks, guys. The bottom PSU mount actually makes cable management more difficult, particularly the 4-pin 12v.

I wish they had provided more more of the quick drive mounts. The case only came with one 3. Luckily, I had an old one from another case. Overall Review: The case only comes with one exhaust fan. There are plenty of options for mounting more fans, and the mounts accept multiple sizes. I had an old 92mm that fit just fine in the front intake position. When you have a fan in the front intake position, the air is actually blown over your hard drives before making it to your interior.

I'd suggest mounting your hard drives such that there's a large gap in the middle for good airflow to the interior. The window is tiny and mostly pointless. You can see into your case better through the top grille than you can through the window.

The window wasn't a big concern from me, so no eggs lost for that. Pros: I have owned this case for a year and a half or a little longer, have had 2 builds in it, It is a well built and roomy case for a Mid tower. It has tooless locks, one each on 5. I have had a FM2 build in this case with a Hyper EV0 cooler in it with a fan on the door, had to use a slim fan but it fit fine. Rear top fan I had to offset in the mesh to make room for cpu cooler, fan and mobo power plug but it went in there, have a full size graphics card, tv tuner watt power supply and 4 hard drives, a card reader and 3 optical drives, and still had room.

I have not seen to many mid-tower cases at that price that I was able to do that with and still have room to put more into it. Now I have a fx 8 core system in it with the same setup in it and I am happy with it, I moved my other system into another case. I have not seen too many mid tower cases at that price range that has the features this one does, I had thumbscrews laying around and used them in place of the hex screws on the doors, For the price I paid for the case I did not expect to have every amenity available.

I added some fans, thumbscrews, and tool less locks and now have a good sturdy case for my builds, Who knows may add a fan controller too! This is a great strarter case for anyone and I think It is a great case for the experienced builder too.

Overall Review: I think you get a lot of case for the money you pay for this case, I have seen a lot of other cases on the market that do not compete with this case in its price class, I have had no issues with this case, and would recommend it, if I had it to do all over again, I would still have bought this case.

One thing that impressed me was the paint, the case is nearly all metal, the case is painted inside and out with a good thick coat of black paint, add the graphics and the red accents and it is an awsome looking case which really struck me when I took it out of the box, That paint yet today does not have a scratch in it. The thermal in this case are good, my 8 core runs low to mid 30s at idle and 75 to 78 at FULL load on all cores and only bad thiing I can think of is that it won't bring me a cup of coffee.

Any side mounted SATA port motherboards will prove a bit cramped,as the cables will have to be mangled a bit to get in there. My CoolerMaster CPU cooler is nearly enough to provide for all air flow needed, as it is only an inch or so from the heavily vented top.

Moving supplied back fan to the front to bring in air from the front. Pros: I like the fit and venting options. I fitted a Mini - ITX motherboard in this case with ease.

The placement of PS at the bottom of case made the sale for me. In this case the PS is not having all the other components' heat pulled through it. Most of my cases still use the PS as the heat vacuum. Cons: The front is clipped into place and can be broken if the assembler is not very careful.

I unscrewed it to avoid damaging it. I'm waiting for a rebate card. Overall Review: The reviews about this case let me know what to expect.

Because I knew what to expect I was prepared for the sides falling off none of the hooks that always seem to get in the way , the rebate being a card not a check, and the PS being an older type. Pros: The main pro for this case is the fact that it comes with a power supply. Because of the price, this isn't a top of the line case so don't go in expecting it to be indestructible.

The case is made with relatively thin metal. It will flex a bit. The case comes with one fan and that fan is sleeved. Sidenote, pick up some more fans when you order. At least one for an intake fan, maybe a 2nd or 3rd for the top exhaust.

Another note, careful taking off the front bezel when installing the front fan you do this by squeezing the clips on the inside of the front of the case together, all the way from the bottom to the top , you can accidentally break the clips, be patient and you'll be fine.

The rear "thing" that they engineered to hold in expansion cards is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in my years of building computers, but once you figure it out it's not that big of a deal. Obviously, by looking at the pictures and the price, you'll probably figure out that cable management is non-existant in this case Which leads me to my next point, the PSU cables themselves.
