Joined Jul 9, Messages Ok I got this evil malware on my computer that makes the entire background of my desktop red and there is an icon on my desktop that I can't delete. Also my Norton Antivirus keeps popping up with worm attacks and im getting alot of trojan warnings.
And there's a red shield thingy in the bottom right part of the screen next to the system clock that says "Spyware infection has been detected! I've tried several antivirus software and superantispyware in addition to spybot SD and CCleaner but my problems still exist.
I know that smitfraudfix will help my problem but I cant open it in safe mode. When I try opening smitfraudfix. Also i've tried downloading different versions of smitfraudfix and they do the same thing.

Now put a tick by Standard File Kill. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following line s one at a time then click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file. It will ask for confimation to delete the file. Click Yes. Continue with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box. If that happens, just continue on with all the files.
Be sure you don't miss any. Alright I've fixed the items in hijack, gone into safe mode and done the killbox, and removed temp files. Also I msconfig to go into safemode because when I go safe mde via the F8 screen the computer resets at the log-in screen.
I'm still getting the same symptoms tho. New hijack this log Logfile of HijackThis v1. Doubleclick on the HJTInstall. Click on Install. It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop. Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis. Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required. I used the new version to fix those items but pipmon. Restart your computer into safe mode now. I've done that and pipmon. The viruses are still detected, but I'm sure my antivirus and superantispyware will take care of them.
The undeleteable icon is still there on my desktop though, its called fast-ticket I changed my desktop background and hoping it will stay that way. I don't get anymore viruses now that my antivirus got the last one, but the icon is still there on my desktop. I also cleared my restore points and the virus name was W Do it in safe mode right click the icon and give the properties of it.
It happened today again when I was in Chrome, looking at extensions. I couldn't get out of it until I shut down my computer and restarted it. When I clicked on it it brought up the same RED with a message. The original message without the white box is below. I called the phone number and someone answered, sort of, by saying, Hello. I had to ask what business it was, and then they said Microsoft technical repair. I hung up. Scam, right? This thread is locked.
